Is Formidable just a chatbot?

Product

Formidable runs a conversation with a job to finish. It checks the lead against your ideal customer profile: the kind of buyer you actually want. It books the meeting with the right person. And it writes the brief your account executive reads before the call. A typical website chatbot waits for questions and answers them. Formidable looks up the lead's company, asks the questions a good salesperson would ask, and delivers the meeting to your CRM and the brief to your sales team.

Which CRMs does Formidable work with?

Setup

Formidable is an AI inbound sales agent for B2B websites: it qualifies inbound leads in a conversation and books the meeting. Setup is light - you add a small script to your website, directly or through Google Tag Manager, and we connect the CRM you already run. From then on Formidable appears right after your sales forms are submitted and starts qualifying. Your CRM receives the lead's contact details, the booked meeting and a lead status. Your reps get the follow-up tasks and the full qualification brief, delivered to them as briefing reports. There are dedicated integrations for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Zoho CRM. On a different CRM, it is connected with you during setup. Which calendars does Formidable book into?

Setup

Formidable books the meeting during the conversation, through the scheduling tool your team already uses: Cal.com, Calendly, HubSpot meeting links, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook. The agent checks real availability and books an open slot, so the meeting lands in the right person's calendar while the lead is still on your site. More on the integrations page. Routing with Chili Piper works too: Formidable qualifies the lead, Chili Piper routes them to the right rep.

Will it spam or annoy my leads?

Leads

No. Formidable only talks to people who have just submitted a form on your website, and it respects their time. Good fits typically reach a booking decision in 7 to 8 exchanges, about 3 to 5 minutes. Poor fits are redirected within 2 to 3 exchanges. Formidable sends nothing outside that on-site conversation. Any follow-up afterwards comes from your team, on your schedule.

How do you prevent it from hallucinating about our product?

Product

We build a complete product knowledge base for your agent that includes exactly what it can and can't say about your offering. The knowledge base is restricted on purpose: the agent is not given pricing figures to quote or claims we have not verified. If Formidable doesn't know something, it says so and routes to your team. The knowledge comes from your team during setup, not scraped from the web.

What happens to our data?

Company

It goes to one place: you. Formidable collects what qualifying needs - the lead's name, work email and their answers to your qualification questions - and everything the conversation produces lands in your CRM and with your sales team. Lead data is never sold and never used to train AI models. It's stored in the EU, we operate under GDPR, and a Data Processing Agreement applies automatically with our Terms - nothing extra to sign. The full, checkable version is on the security page.

How does my sales team get the qualification brief?

Leads

Three ways. It arrives by email as the whole report, not a heads-up asking you to click through: the fit rating, the verdict, every criterion with the evidence behind it, and what is still to confirm. You pick who on your team gets it. The same brief sits in your Formidable dashboard, next to every conversation the agent has had. And if your team lives in Slack, the Slack app puts the alert in your channel - the lead, the company, the fit rating and the verdict, with a button that opens the full brief. Your CRM receives the contact details, the booked meeting and the lead status at the same time. Each brief goes out once the conversation is over: the agent waits about ten minutes in case the lead comes back.

Can our sales team override its qualification?

Leads

Yes. Your reps can change a lead's fit rating inside the product. The verdict also reaches your sales team with the evidence attached. You see what the lead said in their own words, the score on each criterion, and the verdict on fit. Your team owns what happens next. Formidable writes the brief; it does not block anyone. And when your ideal customer profile or your process changes, you update the qualification rules yourself.

What happens when leads don't match our ICP?

Leads

Poor fit leads get a warm, honest response that sets expectations correctly rather than running them through the full qualification flow. Formidable explains why it might not be the best match and often suggests better alternatives. Think of it as helpful triage rather than a dead end.

What does the handoff look like for hot leads vs. nurture leads?

Leads

Hot leads get fast-tracked to booking with timeline confirmation. Nurture leads get educational resources in the chat, and a follow-up task for your team to pick up on your schedule. Your account executives see different briefings depending on urgency and fit tier. The agent tags everything so your team knows exactly what they're walking into.

How long are typical conversations?

Leads

Good fit leads typically reach a booking decision in 7-8 exchanges, which takes about 3-5 minutes. Poor fits get redirected in 2-3 exchanges. The agent is designed to be efficient, not chatty. If someone wants to book immediately, it skips ahead. If they need more info, it provides just enough to move forward.

Can we edit the qualification logic ourselves, or do you handle all changes?

Setup

Yes. Your qualification criteria are yours to edit. You set the questions the agent asks, what it scores each lead against, and what counts as a good fit. Change them whenever your ideal customer profile or your sales process moves on. If you would rather we set it up with you at the start, we will - but you are never waiting on us to make a change.

How long does setup take?

Setup

Setup is light. You add a small script to your website, directly or through Google Tag Manager, and connect the CRM you already run - HubSpot is a standard sign-in, with no API keys to copy around. Then you give the agent your sales process, your ideal customer profile and what your team knows about your product, so it starts from what you know rather than what the web says. Your forms keep working exactly as they do now. The whole journey is on the how it works page.

Is Formidable the same as Formidable Forms?

Company

No. Formidable Forms is a WordPress form-builder plugin made by a different company - if that is what you are looking for, it is at formidableforms.com. Formidable, at formidable.work, is an AI inbound sales agent for B2B websites. It replaces the static contact form with a sales conversation, books meetings, and delivers qualification briefs to your sales team. Different product, different company, different job.

What does Formidable cost?

Pricing

Formidable prices per qualified conversation: you pay when it qualifies a real inbound lead, billed monthly. Form fills that go nowhere cost you nothing. There are three tiers, Starter, Growth and Scale, sized by how many inbound leads you get each month. Every tier gets the same product; what changes between tiers is the price per conversation and how much of the setup work is included rather than billed as a one-off fee. Your first month is free on every tier, with no cap and no card required. Prices per tier are on the pricing page.

When is Formidable not the right choice?

Product

If your motion is entirely self-serve, with no sales conversation to book, Formidable has nothing to book for you. If your qualification criteria are not yet defined, define the journey first, then add the tooling. And if every lead deliberately gets the same next step, a conversation that sorts them adds nothing. In those cases, keep your form; come back when a booked meeting is the goal.

Do B2B contact forms actually qualify leads?

Leads

Mostly they do not, and we checked rather than guessed. We rendered and read the inbound conversion path of 10,258 companies in August 2026. Of the 7,519 forms we parsed, 1.2% asked anything about budget or timeline and around 6% asked company size. The median form asked nothing at all that would tell you whether the buyer was worth a call - it collected six contact fields, required four of them, and passed them on. The most common question anyone writes for themselves is "How did you hear about us?", which serves attribution reporting rather than the buyer's next step. That is the gap Formidable fills: it asks what a good salesperson would ask, while the lead is still on your site. The full method, the sample and what the data cannot tell you are on our State of Inbound report.

How we handle lead data - what we keep, for how long, and who processes it - is on the security page.
